M25 DBFO: CCTV, Lighting & Communications
Bouygues Energies & Services completed the temporary CCTV, lighting and communication packages in the widening of over 40 miles of the M25 between Junctions 16 to 23 and 27 to 30 during a 3 year fast track construction programme within time and budget. Our scope included:
- The design, build and maintenance of several fully digital CCTV networks. This involved over 200 cameras, linked back to 2 central control rooms for 24/7 traffic monitoring.
- The installation of over 2,700 lighting columns, 250,000 meters of trenching, over 300,000 meters of cabling, 1,800 chambers, 1,100 cabinets, 250 emergency telephones, steps and retaining walls.
- Fitting out over 190 gantries.
- Supply and commissioning of Loop sites, MIDAS outstations and transponders.
