Bouygues Energies & Services have recently secured a fast track turnkey design and build project for Croda Chemicals International (CCI) at their Top Tier Speciality Chemicals, COMAH registered site at Rawcliffe Bridge.

 

The Rawcliffe Bridge project involves the design and build of a Polymer Processing Facility for ‘Best In Class’ Liquid Dispersion and Solution Emulsion Polymers utilised for applications such as heat retention molecules for integrated advanced technology plasterboard materials, biodegradable controlled release polymers for agriculture and thermal linings (cooling crystals) for advanced ski suit materials.

 

Bouygues Energies & Services was responsible for the turnkey multidisciplinary design and build comprising; Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Civils/Fit Out and Structural Engineering, including the fit out of an existing building to accommodate the new process and provision of a new raw materials tankfarm and associated offloading area.

 

The project was delivered on a fast track basis over a period of 12 months to the end of water commissioning on a high safety, high containment site and Bouygues Energies & Services provided assistance to CCI during product trials.

 

To enable the integrated fast track delivery of the project, Bouygues Energies & Services’s prefabrication facility in Knowsley, Liverpool was utilised for modular engineering, skid based systems and high level platforms/gantries for Process, Mechanical and Electrical Systems. The facility will be designed and constructed to a very high finish and to clean environment standards, to provide Croda with a "World Class Facility & Engineering Solution".
