Undergraduate placements (three months to one year)

Students in building services, energy, facility management or mechanical and electrical engineering degrees can gain hands-on experience in all aspects of major projects with our work placements. Students have the opportunity to work on-site as part of our delivery teams, in bid management and within our design department. Business students are also considered for work placements in our support functions. Students are generally in their third year of university.

Summer placement (three months)

A summer placement enables students to gain an insight into Bouygues Energies & Services and the sectors in which it operates. Trainees work as an integral part of a team, with the chance to work on-site and gain experience working directly with clients, customers, colleagues and subcontractors. We offer a wide variety of technical trainee opportunities, allowing you to acquire a practical knowledge to complement the theoretical knowledge gained at university. Students can be in their first or second year of university.

Trainees (internships)

An internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable work experience. You will experience working life and gain insight into various careers within the business, enabling you to make informed choices about your future direction. Internships usually last a minimum of four weeks to a maximum of twenty-six weeks. You will receive payment of at least national minimum wage rates.

Apprenticeships

We host apprenticeships in a wide range of activities. Those we support are as broad in scope as the businesses we operate and linked to approved colleges. Our apprentices work towards nationally-recognised qualifications through a combination of on-the-job training and college study.
