Here at Bouygues Energies & Services, we invest heavily in our graduate scheme. We are proud to offer an award-winning two-year structured programme which provides excellent personal and professional development opportunities, a strong support network and a competitive reward package. The graduate scheme is designed to support your development and accelerate your career within Bouygues.

About the Graduate Scheme
Established in 2004, our award-winning Graduate Programme (Princess Royal Training Awards 2021) offers a structured training programme where graduates have the opportunity to work for a global leader in energy, digital and industrial transformation. Working at the forefront of new technology and innovation to deliver a high-quality service to our clients means that our graduates are exposed to a breadth of experience and technical expertise.

Our graduates have the opportunity to develop their skills and fast track their development through a balance of on-the-job learning, structured training, mentoring and networking opportunities, while also working on a key transformation project to develop the business. During the two-year scheme, graduates undertake 2-4 rotations across our different business functions, enabling our graduates to experience different aspects of the Company and build a strong network, before deciding on their chosen specialism.

Graduates can choose to join one of the following schemes:

General Management:

Our general management graduates typically undertake four rotations. Graduates will undertake 2 placements in Operations, one of which will be in Facilities Management. The Graduate will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in managing Hard FM (engineering), Soft FM (Catering, Portering, Security, Helpdesk) or our Infrastructure Division. You will develop people and project management skills and be asked to take the lead with operational tasks throughout the programme such as managing health & safety on site, ensuring contract deliverables, managing service delivery, understanding operational finance, and developing client relations.

You will also complete up to 2 rotations in other areas of the business in order to develop a wider understanding of our processes and culture. Previous graduates have done rotations in the following departments:

Business Development, Sustainability, Commercial/Finance Management, Mobilisation, Human Resources/Learning & Development, Procurement, Information Systems, CSR & Social Value, and Marketing & Communications.

Graduates with an engineering or technical background can complete rotations within our Energy team, working on projects such as on site at our solar farms.

Engineering:

We have opportunities for graduates with an engineering background to complete rotations within either Facilities Management, our Energy Team or on major projects such as the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant. Recently, M&E graduates have joined our Hinkley Point C team at our Bristol office, working on our Turn-key EPC contract for the Emergency Diesel Generators.

Finance:

Our finance graduates typically undertake 2 12-month placements within Commercial Management and Finance areas. As part of the scheme, finance graduates also undertake the CIMA or ACCA professional accountancy qualification, which is fully funded by us through an apprenticeship.

What we offer our graduates:

  • Competitive starting salary of £26,000 reviewed on a 6-month basis
  • £2,000 joining bonus (dependent on achieving a 2:1 degree)
