Bouygues Energies & Services Powering Homes in Germany

Now more than ever there is a huge importance on greener renewable energy. TENNET, a Dutch grid system operator would like to provide renewable energy produced from the North Sea Wind Farms to homes across Germany by 2024.

They will achieve this by taking the A1 & A2 bundle of the Wahle Mecklar Extremely High Voltage (EVH) aerial line and feeding the South of Germany. TENNET, has appointed Bouygues Energies & Services, Energy and Industry, Kraftanglagen Munchen and DS Energy to undertake this project on their behalf.

One of the main objectives of the line is to allow the North Sea onshore and offshore wind farms to provide power to the South of Germany. Bouygues Energies & Services will support 30 kilometres of 230 kilometres stretch, a project to help Germany in its energy transition process.

The project is a part of the big 380kV Wahler Mecklar project which initiated in 2019 with a completion date of 2024.  A project that highlight a long-term partnership between TENNET and  Bouygues Energies & Services, Energy & Industry as a key partner for the future of Greener, Sustainable, Renewable Energy.
